Mechanical Comprehension: Technical Subtests Mechanical Comprehension (MC) is a key line score subtest that directly affects your qualification for mechanical, engineering, and skilled-trade military jobs — so mastering its core principles can open doors to some of the most technical and well-compensated MOS/ratings in every branch. --- ## Why Mechanical Comprehension Matters The MC subtest contributes to several important line score composites, including the Army's MM (Mechanical Maintenance) and GM (General Maintenance) scores, and the Air Force's M composite (Mechanical). Even though MC does not count toward your AFQT, a weak MC score can lock you out of highly sought-after technical jobs in every branch of service. --- ## Core Concepts Tested on MC ### 1.
